Costruita in posizione dominante, sulla sommità di una collina, a 722 s.l.m., con splendida vista dei colli umbri e toscani, in posizione tranquilla e riservata, l’Abbadia di Piazza si trova nelle immediate vicinanze della città di Gubbio, città storicamente medioevale e ricca di testimonianze Francescane. L’Abbadia di Piazza venne costruita nel 1100, nel tempo ha svolto una preziosa funzione di difesa del territorio eugubino,per molti secoli e’ stato un monastero,tutt’ora all’interno ci sono innumerevoli testimonianze,prima fra tutte,la splendida chiesetta, ora sconsacrata. Negli anni a seguire, quando lo stato pontificio la cedette al demanio, l’Abbadia divenne dimora di importanti famiglie, che rimasero affascinate dalla bellezza dei luoghi e dalla struttura stessa. Pur conservando un aspetto tipicamente medioevale, attualmente, grazie ad importanti lavori di recupero e restauro, l’Abbadia di Piazza, si adatta perfettamente ad essere una residenza per vacanze. All’ interno ci sono 8 appartamenti, completamente arredati in stile rustico, ma confortevoli, ogni appartamento ha il suo angolo cottura con forno, dispone di tv. Possibilità di lettino baby, riscaldamento centralizzato. L’attività e’ gestita a conduzione familiare, gli attuali gestori abitano nella struttura, pertanto i clienti hanno la massima assistenza,e soggiornano in un ambiente prettamente familiare, siamo aperti tutto l’anno. Nell’area sottostante le mura di cinta del maniero, su di un ampio terrazzamento con vista panoramica, si trova la piscina-solarium (14x7) in comune, parco giochi per bambini, prato con tavoli e panchine, possibilità di passeggiate nella natura, trekking, ampio parcheggio auto per clienti. All’interno dell’Abbadia c’e’ un chiostro, dal quale si accede agli appartamenti, alla sala da pranzo con camino, abbiamo convenzioni con un noto ristorante della zona, e si accede alla sala riunioni/lettura, che si trova all’interno della ex chiesa. Possibilità  di noleggio della struttura per banchetti, meeting congressi eventi, ecc. .
