In General 

 The Organic Farm Holiday - Hiking Centre 'CASALE CAMALDA' is an ancient rural stone mansion on the Appennino Mountains between Florence and Arezzo, into the Foreste Casentinesi, Monte Falterona and Campigna National Park. The farm is situated in a secluted and quiet spot among woods and streams and wolves, red deer, fallow deer, roe deer, wild boars, eagles, squirrels and many other wild animals. Casale Camalda is near the historical Monastery of Camaldoli which can be also reached walking on comfortable and short paths through the forest. The hospitality is offered in restored independent flats (Chestnut Drier, Stable and Barn) which were once rural annexes; all of them have kitchen, bathroom and private heating. The oganic farm produce an sell directly fruits, jams and marmalades, honey, wine, olives and oil. English, German and French are spoken. A common room with maps, guide books, books about nature and hiking, history and art of the area is available for the guests. The owner is a Guide of the National Park and organises excursions and hiking to the wildest and most secluted spots of these mountains and forests. Maps and leaflets and advice and assistance are provided for self-guided tours to the National Park and to the medieval castles, romanic churches, hermitages and monasteries and the historical villages of the Casentino Valley and the Tuscany.
