CASTELLO DI TAVOLESE 

The “Castello di Tavolese” has its origin in the 13th century and was owned by some of the most important tuscan famiglie:  Farinata degli Uberti (mentioned in Dante´s “Divina Commedia”), his brother Pietro ditto “Asino” , an officer of Manfred of Hohenstaufen King of Napoles, the Canigiani family, from which came Petrarca´s mother, the Giugnis and the counts Capponi.  In 1998 is was restored by Clemente C. Kaiser.
Over 150 acres the main production is Chianti dei Colli Fiorentini and extravergine olive oil, trade marks of quality. 

The big farmhouse has been transformed into 12 apartments with panoramic view, elegantly furnished and with all moderm comfort, keeping the atmosphere of the ancient Tuscan country house.

Castello di Tavolese as a place of sojourn for a marvelous Weddings, is situated in Chianti area between Florence and Siena. Castle of Tavolese is a perfect place to organize events, meetings, elegant lunches or dinners in a magical ambience with all services the clients can require.
Weddings and receptions can be celebrated in the rooms of the ground floor of the castle, in the courtyard and in the garden,  is equipped with a gazebo.  In the inner courtyard, up 80 persons can be accommodated; in the gazebo near the courtyard there is a place for another 30 or 50 persons. In summertime, up to 100 persons can be accommodated in the garden. To make more magical the atmosphere our guest can celebrate the ceremony in our small chapel we have in the property.
Is a heated swimming pool connected in summertime with an outdoor pool.

It´s an ideal place to be on a holiday to visit Tuscany: Florence is less than half an hour and Siena; San Gimignano 20 minutes, Volterra and Pisa 1 hour, and 1 /15 hour more you reach the famous sandbeaches of the Versilia. 
The connections are excellent (roads, highway, train and plane), but you are in completely quiet place with one of the most beautiful landscapes of the region. You can walk in the Castle´s wood or go horseback riding round the corner. Last not least the excellent restaurant will be a pleasure not to miss.
