The old farmhouse has been brought back to its original structure and the apartments have kept the typical rural characteristics of the hilly district of Mugello, at the same time offering all modern comforts. Attulaio farm is the ideal place to visit, alone or with friends, for a peaceful and relaxing holiday, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. A little swimming pool will refresh your hot days here und will amuse your children. Other facilities, such as a private football ground, a ping-pong table and a room, where you can play drums or use some fitness tools, are put at your disposal for a total relax. In our farm you will be in direct touch with the nature and the peasants’ everyday life of the hilly district of Mugello. If you are interested in knowing more about the products of our land, you could also directly join the landlady on the field, trying to get acquainted with the tricks of the trade. The farm produces chestnuts, kitchen-garden products and extra virgin olive oil. The establishment is situated 600 meters above sea level and enjoys a panoramic view. The old farmhouse has been brought back to its original structure and the apartments have kept the typical rural characteristics of the hilly district of Mugello, at the same time offering all modern comforts.
The garden is organized so that it is possible to relax in privacy or with the other guests. There are plenty of footpaths for those keen on walking, mountain biking and trekking.
It’s only 8 km away from Vicchio di Mugello, an old village enclosed by walls dating back to the fourteenth century. Vicchio is the native town of renowned artists such as Giotto and Beato Angelico.
Besides that, all its products are excusively Traditional products: very fresh eggs, excellent potatoes, high-quality olive oil, peculiar chestnuts, delightful aubergines, abounding salads, bright peppers, natural peas, juicy tomatoes, genuine beans and marrows and a little bit of strawberries, too. With little good will you can set out in search of products spontaneously offered by the woods and the country-side all around the farm: the delicious and very rare little wild strawberries, blackberries, figs, apples, cherries, pears and, above all, mushrooms.With its natural beauty, including woodland, valleys and typical cultivations, and with its temperate climate Mugello is one of the loveliest areas to visit on the outskirts of Florence, which can be easily reached by car, in only 50 minutes, or comfortably by train (1 hour).
Follow signs for San Piero a Sieve, Borgo San Lorenzo, Vicchio.
At Vicchio continue for 300 metres in the direction of Dicomano.
Take left turning for Villore-Paterno. After exactly 4 km turn right following the sign for Paterno. Continue on a dirt track for another 3 km until you get to a little church and there follow the indication for Attulaio; after 300 metres you will approach the farmhouse.
